Landscaping
The interface between built form, landscape and open space has been carefully considered, with built-development focused around the northern part of the site within a tree-lined setting to retain the rural character of Pauletts Lane and relate to approved development on Land west of Hill St.

Considered Boundaries
A sensitive approach is being taken to the boundaries of the site, with appropriate set back from Salisbury Road and the retention of mature and protected trees which filter views from Salisbury Road and Pauletts Lane, retaining its rural character in doing so.
Boundary treatments are designed to be both functional and attractive. Rear gardens will feature FSC-certified timber fencing with hedgehog gaps to support wildlife movement. Where gardens face public areas, brick walls softened with climbing plants will provide privacy and visual interest. Front gardens will include formal hedges and planting beds to support pollinators and create a welcoming streetscape.
Space for wildlife and recreation
The layout, landscaping, open space and ANRG locations for this site follow design principles proposed by the Council in their concept master-planning for the site.
The ’southern’ part of the site will provide the Alternative Natural Recreational Greenspace and other public open space.
