Our Proposals

About the site

The application site measures approximately 3.8 hectares and is located directly east of Pauletts Lane and south of A36 Salisbury Road. The site currently has an agricultural access from Pauletts Lane and comprises three fields, two parallel to one another, with another to the south, which results in an irregular shaped site boundary. The boundaries are generally defined by a mixture of small and large trees and hedgerows.

The site forms part of Strategic Site 1 (Land north of Totton), which is a wider allocation by New Forest District Council for a residential-led mixed-use development of at least 1,000 new homes, a commercial core (west of Pauletts Lane), a community focal point, education provision and public open space. Further information on the allocation can be found in the New Forest District Council Local Plan 2016-2036 part 1: Planning Strategy, available here: https://www.newforest.gov.uk/article/1510/Local-Plan-2016-2036-part-1-Planning-strategy

Planning applications are coming forward for various sites within the SS1 allocation. Land east of Pauletts Lane is therefore presented to the local community, elected representatives and other stakeholders at this time to enable early involvement and provide transparency throughout our design process.
