Highways & Access
Access
The draft layout shows how a hierarchy of traditional streets, shared surfaces and private drives would be provided within the development. The principal street will run along the southern edge of the site from the site west to east, with access taken from Pauletts Lane. This will transition into a looser form of development of predominately detached and semi-detached dwellings set to the north of this road within the northern parcel of the site.

Parking
Car parking will be provided in line with the Council’s standards and will include provision for electric vehicle charging. Ample visitor parking will be distributed across the site, in accordance with the council’s requirements. Secure cycle parking will also be provided throughout to encourage sustainable transport choices.
Traffic impacts
Initial pre-application engagement has taken place with Highway Officers at Hampshire County Council to review the proposed development, and further discussions are ongoing. A comprehensive Transport Statement is being prepared that will accompany the planning application and assess any traffic impacts.
